Drunk Elephant Reviews

Drunk Elephants is a US brand that boasts itself on toxic-free formulas. It was created by Tiffany Masterson, a native of Houston and a mom of four.

The line was developed out of the desire of acquiring knowledge about toxic ingredients and the effect these ingredients have on the skin’s health.

The desire of finding out how sensitive skin comes about was also the line’s aim.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day SerumThese skin care products were named after the myth which stated that elephants fancied eating fruits that fell off from the marula tree. Once these fruits were consumed, fermentation process occurred inside the elephant’s large stomachs then they became drunk.

The marula “miracle” oil inspired Tiffany Masters to create the products she could not find on the market.

She began developing the line after failing to get the product that honestly lived up to its assurances regardless of the price. She also had the strong yearning to limit her kid’s exposure to the harmful toxins, but couldn’t find a product that does the same.

The Virgin marula oil, coming straight from the pipe, is found throughout Tiffany Masterson’s line.

The oil has a high content of antioxidants and fatty acids, therefore, the oil is believed to be much superior to any other.

Drunk Elephant was therefore created with intense care and love, and a large dose of willpower.

Drunk Elephant Skin care is minimal, safe, non-toxic and effective. The key ingredients have been added at the very highest percentages imaginable for maximum efficacy.

The product uses clean ingredients including antioxidants and virgin marula to promote a luminous, healthier complexion.

Having Drunk Elephant system in your wardrobe is like an addictive drug, you’d never want to be without it since it leaves the skin with real results.

The line is made up of eight products.

Drunk Elephant, therefore, is a line of skincare which is formulated without using fragrances, parabens or irritating elements thus it is very much safe to use. The brand has massively transformed skins

The brand’s top-quality recipes deliver a fountain of youth style results.

What makes Drunk Elephant Different?

The brand’s range of products comprises of II products and claims to use non-toxic and clean ingredients rather than organic or natural.

“There are 6 suspicious ingredients; fragrance/dyes, essential oils, silicones, SLS, chemical screens and drying alcohols” Tiffany Masterson, the founder says.

She calls them suspicious since she can’t prove whether they cause wreaking havoc on the skin or not, but she believes they are, at the root of virtually every skin drama in fact.

The brand’s formulas are extremely active and each ingredient is there to serve a particular purpose.

Drunk Elephant skin care line puts skin health in the front line while giving clients the difference they need, which is the designer’s dream.

Masterson says she’s a consumer of the skincare products as well and she wouldn’t play head games with no one since she too wants great ingredients and healthy, clear skin like everyone else.

Drunk Elephant Skincare Line and why it’s an overachiever

The aim of a great beauty product is simple, i.e., the product should work. Drunk Elephant is a three-year-old, natural meets clinical, frequently sold beauty brand.

According to the brand, a great beauty product should meet the below criteria;

  • Should have no fragrance
  • Should not contain silicones or parabens
  • Should mostly be natural
  • Should not include fragrant essential oils
  • Should feel great on the skin
  • Should use proven and clinically tested ingredients
  • Should have an operative ph.
  • Should work
  • Should not comprise of any ingredients that are “in-doubt”, which is according to many cosmetic watchdog administrations.

The CEO Tiffany claims that her skincare line pretty much does all the work for her clienteles.

The line has developed to be among the fastest-growing skin care enterprises in the Sephora history, as WWD reports. All of the brand’s companies have neither celebrity endorsements nor adds.

In 2016, the Drunk Elephant lines sales shot up to 400%. Tiffany, the brands designer found it weird having acquisition interests from private equity companies and Estee Lauder.

The demand was higher even before setting up the website surprisingly.

C-Firma Day Serum

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum

This is the hero product and contains 15% vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid).

The acid is an extremely tricky ingredient that stabilizes in a formula, same as vitamins E and D and ferulic acid. The acid is admittedly having a slightly oily texture.

L-ascorbic acid’s smell takes a few days to get accustomed to, though a smoother, brighter skin is left after using the serum in less than one week.

Those with sensitive skins would want to go slow with the C-Firma since the high concentration of L-ascorbic acid can be irritating.

Conclusion.

Drunk Elephant packaging is very much on point with most of its products, apart from the oil and cleansing soap, which comes in sealed pumps.

This is to prevent bacteria from the mucky paws breeding, and also ensuring that formulas are not oxidized thus rendering them less effective.
